Liability MSA Allocation (LMSA)
All parties to a liability or no-fault settlement have significant responsibilities under the Medicare Secondary Payer Act (MSP) to protect Medicare’s interest such that the burden of future medical is not shifted to Medicare. A method to protect Medicare’s interest is an LMSA, which allocates a portion of the liability settlement for future Medicare eligible medical expenses.
